Heavy Goods Apprentice Required

As a Scania Apprentice you'll be employed at West Pennine Trucks Stoke on Trent, Cross Street ,Off Chemical Lane, Longport, just off the A500 Tunstall Wolstanton turn off. where you will work alongside qualified Technicians, learning from their experience and developing the ability to work on your own and as part of a team, and attend an approved Apprentice scheme on a two week block booking throughout your apprenticeship

• Throughout your apprenticeship you will be visited regularly by a Scania Training Assessor, whose task is to make sure that your training is effective, to help you complete your NVQ in the workplace, to check that your progress is satisfactory and that you are enjoying the work.
• As a Scania Apprentice you will be employed full-time with recognised terms and conditions of employment.
• You will be entitled to paid holiday each year as well as the usual Bank Holidays.
• Overalls and safety shoes, safety boots will also be provided. Apprenticeship programme The Scania Apprentice Programme is run by Skillnet Limited, an independent training specialist, on behalf of Scania (Great Britain) Limited.
• The Scania Apprentice Programme is an Apprenticeship Scheme approved by Scania (Great Britain) Limited, and the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).
• It's a challenging four-year programme that combines hands-on workshop training with block release for college training and study at Scania's state-of-the-art training centre.
• Not only will you be trained to the standards set by Automotive Skills Limited, the Sector Skills Council for the Motor Industry, the apprenticeship also leads to an Advanced Apprenticeship qualification on Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Heavy Vehicle) - a nationally recognised qualification.
• You will learn new skills at the training centre, working exclusively on the Scania products.
