New Doosan and Bobcat Dealer in Republic of Ireland

Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment (DICE) has appointed Dublin-based Montana Plant Sales, part of Ballyvesey Holdings Ltd, as the new authorised dealer for the Republic of Ireland. Under the new agreement, Montana Plant Sales is now responsible for the sales and aftermarket support of Doosan excavators from 14 to 70 tonne, the Doosan high capacity telescopic handlers and the complete range of Bobcat compact equipment throughout the Republic. The Doosan and Bobcat ranges are of interest to customers in many sectors from construction, quarrying, demolition, landscaping, agriculture, horticulture and equipment rental to recycling and general industry.

Dermot Cunnie, General Manager of the Construction Division of Ballyvesey Holdings Ltd, said: “We had been looking for some time to complement our existing portfolio with a market-leading range of heavy excavators. We are very familiar with Doosan and Bobcat products through our subsidiary, Scotia Plant Limited, which has been very successful representing both products in the central belt of Scotland. When Doosan offered us the dealerships in the Republic, it was a great opportunity to expand our business in Ireland and we were delighted to accept the appointment.”

Operating out of impressive facilities at Rathcoole, seven miles south west of Dublin, Montana Plant Sales is now responsible for all service and warranty work on existing Doosan and Bobcat machines in the Republic, backed by a full selection of genuine accessories and spare parts. The decision to stock new machines as well as parts has been one of the keys to success at the Scotia Plant dealership and this will be repeated at Rathcoole, where Montana Plant Sales will hold a stock of both new and used Doosan and Bobcat branded machines, to respond quickly to customers’ needs.

Customers will also benefit from the company’s well-established on-site service network, covering everything from emergency repairs to routine maintenance. As well as covering existing contracts, Montana Plant Sales offers flexible service agreements including 24 hours a day coverage, meeting individual customer’s specific requirements.

The Doosan range of crawler excavators now available from Montana Plant Sales includes mid-size and heavy models covering operating weights from 14 to 70 tonne and specialist demolition machines. There is also a choice of five mid-size wheeled excavators in the weight range from 14 to 21 tonne, complemented by specialist material handling and railway machines.

The Doosan high capacity telescopic handler range comprises four models offering maximum lift heights of 10 m and lifting capacities from 7 to 21 tonne.

Montana Plant Sales is also responsible for the complete range of Bobcat equipment from skid-steer, compact tracked and all wheel steer loaders, mini-excavators, telehandlers and utility vehicles to a comprehensive selection of Bobcat attachments that deliver versatility and time-saving efficiency across a huge range of different applications.
