Sleator And Southern Strengthen Case Network

25th January

Case Construction Equipment has added to its dealer network with the appointment of Sleator Plant in Northern Ireland, and Southern Plant across much of central south-east England. Both companies are subsidiaries of privately owned construction equipment, road transport and trailer manufacturing company Ballyvesey Holdings. Case equipment

Proven Pedigree
Sleator Plant has been a leading compact equipment dealer in Northern Ireland for more than 25 years, more recently taking on access equipment and adding a number of heavy earthmoving products to its line-up. Based in Newtownabbey, County Antrim, Sleator delivers a first class service across Northern Ireland to a wide range of customers in the civil engineering, plant hire, contracting and road maintenance sectors.

“We’ve been looking for some time for a range of larger equipment to complement our existing product line,” says Dermot Cunnie, General Manager, Construction Division. Case Plant

“The Case line fits perfectly with our other machinery portfolio. Case has had a very loyal following in Northern Ireland and we are delighted to be taking that forward. Our aim is to look after existing customers and to build on the success of the Case brand here.

“We will back the product 100%, taking on existing warranties. We have a solid base to work from and we will invest in the people and the facilities to build this business going forward.”

Sleator Plant will provide the complete Case range, with the exception of larger wheeled loaders and articulated dump trucks, as it already has a franchise for these products in Northern Ireland.

Rapid Expansion
Southern Plant was formed in 2007, again selling a line of compact plant and equipment in and around the London area. Since that time the company has grown steadily, adding new sites for both sales and service and providing an accounting and operating centre in Park Royal, North London.

Southern Plant will offer and support the complete Case Construction Equipment range, operating from its head office site in Toddington, just off junction 12, M1 motorway, with satellite sales depots in Measham and Yaxley. The company has taken on a wide dealership territory, including Essex, Kent, East Sussex, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire, Northants, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, with Milton Keynes.

“It is a fantastic opportunity that Case has given us,” says Mr Cunnie. “Again, we realized that for further expansion we needed a larger range of equipment. Now we are already looking at other group locations that can provide additional capacity for the company.

“We’ve taken on business development managers and are currently looking for additional heavy equipment specialists to join the team. We have the structure set up, with the finances and equipment to support our growing customer base. We aim to be a true one-stop-shop for plant buyers, backed by Ballyvesey Asset Management, our in-house finance company.”

Ballyvesey Holdings has an impressive track record, with a turnover in excess of £350m and more than 1,500 employees across Ireland and the UK. The company has franchises for Scania, Mercedes and DAF trucks, and owns the Montracon trailer manufacturing business.

There is a property development business within the Group involved in both commercial and residential building projects. Ballyvesey also runs a recycling company and other plant sales businesses in Scotland.

“We are absolutely delighted to have found this company,” says Rick Morris, Network Development Manager at Case Construction Equipment.

“I am sure that they will do a great job for Case over the coming years, supporting Case Construction Equipment customers in all business sectors. We look forward to further building the Case brand together in England with Southern Plant, and throughout Northern Ireland with Sleator Plant.”
