
West Pennine Trucks Middleton depot has recently launched a new customer service initiative. Where appropriate customers waiting for their vehicle at Middleton will receive a SMS message when their vehicle is ready for collection. This unobtrusive communication is aimed to enhance customer relationships and improve efficiency within the service department.
The scheme which was rolled out end of February has really take off and maybe expanded through the group. Depot Manager, Phil Norris comments,
“I have seen what this initiative can do for customer relationships throughout my career at other manufacturers and I can already see this happening in the short time we have used it at Middleton.”
The system used to send these messages is a fully secure system which allows service staff to send single or multiple SMS messages as well as full delivery reports and analysis.
