Large order secured for Montracon

Leading Trailer Manufacturer, Montracon Ltd, have jointly with Eurofleet a sister Ballyvesey group company, secured a large order from specialist logistics firm Wincanton Ltd. The order, which was secured in February, is for 225 tri axle rolling bogie Skeletals, a very popular trailer with Montracon clients. Apart from the 14 twist locks and the BPW drum brakes, this model of trailer is equipped with a number of safety features which include:-

Haldex full soft docking system - prevents damage to the rear end of the trailer when reversing to a loading bay.
The Suspension raises - when the trailer reverses to protect mud wings & flaps when parking against concrete wheel stops.
Non red line change over system - the driver does not have to get on the catwalk to operate the sliding system.
Trailer roll stability – to help prevent trailer roll over in adverse conditions.

A large proportion of this order will be used to replace older stock at Wincanton’s and will operate out of their Felixtowe & Alconbury (Cambridgeshire) depots. Wincanton is a long standing customer of Montracon. They are a leading European supply chain solutions provider, operating in four main areas; Warehousing, Transport & distribution, Supply Chain Consultancy and Reverse Logistics.

The trailers are being built out of Montracon’s manufacturing facility at Mallusk and Wincanton are putting the trailers into service as we go to press.
