Intercounty Truck & Van Ltd have just delivered an Axor 2543LS Tractor Unit to Whitworth Ltd of Wellingbrough. The tractor unit is complete with 430BHP Euro 5 Engine, 12 speed powershift gearbox, High Roof Sleeper Cab fitted with air conditioning, Full Roof and Cab Side Deflectors and Polished Alloy Wheels.

This is a very significant sale for Intercounty, not only due to the high profile nature of the customer, but also as it will replace a non Mercedes fleet. This will send an important message to local businesses that this high profile company has changed its loyalty. Added to this the customer’s confidence in acquiring the vehicle on a 5 year Contract Hire package with all R&M work being completed at Intercounty’s Wellingborough office only further emphasis the customers intentions. Should this vehicle prove to be as good as the demo and Intercounty services equal to that of the local Scania dealership this will be the first of up to 10 vehicles.

Wellingborough based Whitworth Ltd produce flour in bulk and bagged form, this vehicle is going to be used on the bagged product pulling curtainside tri-axle trailers at 44 tonne on a national basis and sporting a typical Yellow cab with blue chassis.
