Success at Montracon open day

7th October

On Wednesday 22nd September Montracon held their eagerly anticipated open day. The day was an opportunity to give existing and potential customers a factory tour as well as an exclusive insight into the very latest product designs and a wide range of Montracon products.Montracon open day

The successful day had over 150 attendees, who ranged from major blue chip companies to owner drivers. These customers were given first hand demonstrations of Montracons new load security enhancement which is intended for curtainsider applications; load retention straps are clipped to lines wound onto and suspended from ratchets that in turn are hung from and travel along wires that run the full length of the trailer either to each side of the roof or along the centre of it.

Also launched at the open day was Montracon’s latest addition to their curtainsider range which features a pair of rear mounted full height ‘gate’ frames with ‘curtain tracked’ top rails. One gate is hinged top and bottom at each corner pillar. They are simply swung out from their stowed position - across the back panel, and locked in line with the trailer sides to effectively extend the curtain track behind the trailer, allowing the curtain to be drawn clear of the deck(s).

Montracon sales and marketing director Paul Mead says: ‘It’s a win for safety and efficiency: once the curtain is drawn back in the marshalling yard, there is no need for the driver to alight from his vehicle until its back in the yard. Time on the unloading/loading floor is trimmed and, as the curtain pulls back clear of the trailer, the chance of any pallets being mistakenly left on board and returned to base must be almost zero.’

Montracon would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who attended the event. If you would like to know more about Montracon and their products, please click here to visit their website.
