Centurion Truck Rental delivery 10 Scania to Sawyers Distribution

Sawyers Distribution have just taken delivery of 10 Scania R485 Topline 6x2 Opticruise Tractor units to join their fleet of 85 vehicles running between the UK, Ireland and Europe. This order was particularly important for Centurion Truck Rental as Sawyers took these 10 to replace existing Contract Hire vehicles which had come to the end of their contract, showing that they were happy with the product and also with the service, as George Lee of Sawyers explains;

AJD Sawyers started the family business in 1970, with 1 vehicle transporting meal throughout Northern Ireland. By 1991, Sawyers owned 6 lorries and 6 fridges and was steadily growing. Then decision was made to form a company; Sawyers Transport Ltd. To date the company has a fleet of approximately 100 high specification refrigerated trailers, in addition to its fleet of 85 tractor units and curtainsider trailers.

These 10 Scania vehicles will be operating out of their Moy depot in Co.Tyrone Northern Ireland and will mainly be carrying chilled food throughout Ireland, UK and Europe.
