Mallusk based recycling company BALLYVESEY RECYCLING SOLUTIONS are throwing their weight behind the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign “WEAR IT PINK” on Friday 30th October.
The Managing Director Dennis Monaghan says
“Although by its nature our business is probably 95% male orientated, we all have a mother, daughter, sister, wife, partner or girlfriend that can be affected by this frightening disease. Breast cancer is the second most common female cancer in Northern Ireland with over 1000 women diagnosed each year. It is the second most common cause of cancer-related deaths in females with around 300 women losing their lives to breast cancer every year”. (Info from Action Cancer) Ballyvesey Recycling team
“We want to give our support to “Wear it Pink” day by asking our customers all week to donate their loose change from the cash payments we give for material” says Dennis “
Our customers have proved their generosity in the past with support for other local charities. Whatever amount we raise will be doubled by a donation from Ballyvesey Recycling Solutions. As well as making people aware of this campaign we want to make it fun and all our employees will be wearing pink and supporting the cause”
