S & K Haulage choose Montracon

Montracon has successfully secured an order from International haulier S & K Haulage Ltd.

The order consists of 20 curtainsider trailers, all are mounted on triaxle bogies, with a fuel friendly canted roof line and side skirts. The trailers will operate out of S & K Haulage’s 5 acre site at Barry Docks, which houses 40,000 sq.ft of secured enclosed warehousing facilities, offering; heated, refrigerated and ambient storage, picking, packing and order fulfilment services.

S & K Haulage is part of the S & K Group, which comprises of three companies, S & K Haulage Ltd, Vaughan Transport Systems Ltd and Barry Storage & Distribution. The Group was founded by Neil Kidby 36 years ago who is still the active Managing Director for all companies with support from his three sons, David, James and Lloyd who head up the three main departments of the business.

The group has a fleet of over 110 vehicles, complimented by 190 trailers. The trailers vary from curtainsiders, euroliners, temperature controlled trailers, box vans, flatbeds, sliding and ISO skeletal trailers to bulk liquid and gas tankers.

This relationship with the sister companies within the group helps S & K Haulage supply individual transport management solutions, warehousing, picking and packaging for the majority of the multi-national companies situated in South Wales, with deliveries varying in size from 1kg to 28,000kgs covering all of the United Kingdom and Europe.
