Demolition Solutions from Ballyvesey Recycling
28th Jan 2009
The demolition or refurbishment of old buildings produces all sorts of debris that has to be cleared away – or recycled. So what do you do? Call in the experts! Ballyvesey Recycling Solutions based in Trench Road, Mallusk, for example, offer collection services for all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from demolition projects. The company operates one of the most modern recycling facilities of its kind in the country, using state of the art equipment.
“We have worked recently on contracts such as Clarendon House and the Kennedy Centre in Belfast and also the University of Ulster Catering College Accommodation Building in Portrush” says Managing Director Dennis Monaghan.
“Contractors are usually on a time limit to get the site cleared so it is of vital importance that the collection service we provide keeps things running smoothly. Various materials like steel girders, ventilation systems, electric cables and copper piping that have reached the end of their lifespan all have to be graded and processed correctly to enable shipment to steelworks and foundries throughout the world.
“It’s interesting to think that the materials we have shipped to China and India already this year will be melted down and manufactured into new products that could end up back in households in Northern Ireland. It’s the full cycle of materials recycling taking place.”
